This piece is inspired by the mystical notion that I Am That I Am, as recalled from the book of Exodus 3:14 when God spoke to Moses in the burning bush. However, beyond the Western Mysteries, this notion that "I am That" also permeates the Eastern traditions (see the book "I Am That," by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj).

The tri-gold frame is also hand-painted with a meticulous hot pink along the edges.
The back is covered in a complementary purple fabric.
